Our Alma Mater

Sister Mary Ellen Hogan, C.S.J.

Now lift your voice and raise a song,

For beauty and for truth.

For our dear Alma Mater,

the honor of our youth.

Oh, stand beside her colors,

Find courage at her side,

For green and white

For honor bright,

For loyalty and pride.

Here’s to our own dear SCC,

Steadfast and true she stands.

Here’s to our faithful green and white,

Leading loyal SAINTS to glory.

Proudly we raise her banner high,

Bravely defend her name.

Praise to our Alma Mater

To our own dear S  C  C  H  S.

       Seton Rocks

During a recent reunion the members of the class of 1985 had an idea, a vision really. What if we could raise money to start a fund that would support the Music Department? From there the idea to establish an endowed fund that would generate funds in perpetuity became a reality. Today supporters of this initiative have expanded to include all graduates of the Catholic Schools of Broome County and efforts are ongoing. The group now plans to support other departments. You can join the fun and follow the group by joining Seton Rocks on Facebook.

The first fundraising initiative was a rock concert/auction held at Seton Catholic Central High School during May of 2011. The group put together a rock band made up of graduates and they rocked the house. Several current students participated and by all accounts they had a blast. In the end the group raised more than $6,000 and donated two new guitars.

Today the group continues its efforts having planned a concert that was held on March 24th, 2012 at Thirsty's Tavern, Binghamton that was a booming success! Moreover, they are on a mission to have supporters sign up to make monthly credit card donations. With 100 supporters signing up with a payment of $10 per month the group would realize $12,000 annually. Please contact the Development Office at 607 348-0337 to become a monthly donor.

Simply CLICK HERE if you’d like to take part in this initiative and sign up to donate. Please print the form and mail it to Development Office, 70 Seminary Ave, Binghamton, NY 13905.

The Seton Rocks Fund is held by the Catholic Education Foundation of the Southern Tier. This foundation is an independent 501c3 nonprofit agency governed by a local board of directors (parents and friends). All donations to the fund are tax-deductible as allowed by law. By endowing this fund you provide income to the designated programs in perpetuity. The principal of the fund is never used, only a percentage of the funds income which is currently set at 5%. For more information regarding the fund please contact Camille Muscatello at 607-348-0337 or cmuscatello@syrdiocese.org
