Seton Faculty & Students to Embark Monday on
Mission Trip to Haiti
(Binghamton, NY) Seventeen Seton Catholic Central teachers, students & volunteers will be working in Haiti from February 13 – 18. The delegation will be led by faculty member Sister Brigid O’Mahoney, MHJ.
The students will be working in two orphanages supported by the Missionaries of the Heart of Jesus. They will also be volunteering at Mother Teresa’s Children’s Hospital and they will be running a medical clinic in Cite Soleil. Cite Soleil is considered the one of the most deprived regions in the western hemisphere.
“The work of these teachers, students and Volunteers is a powerful example of selfless giving to aid those who struggle daily to acquire the basic necessities of life,” said Richard Bucci, President, Catholic Schools of Broome County.
