Campaign Updates Unveiled
[BINGHAMTON, NY, October 2, 2018] The Catholic Schools of Broome County will unveil campaign funded enhancements during a ribbon cutting and dedication this Friday, October 5, 2018 at 1 pm at Seton Catholic Central on 70 Seminary Avenue in Binghamton. Bishop Robert J. Cunningham of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Syracuse will be in attendance and perform the blessing.
The purpose of the ribbon cutting is to unveil the enhancements that have taken place as a result of the $3.25 million dollar, A Shared Vision That Will Enrich Your Future campaign at the Catholic schools. To date, the schools have raised over $2.9 million. The campaign’s three key priorities are strengthening the learning environment, expanding the curriculum, and enhancing the physical plant.
In addition to the ribbon cutting, two spaces at the high school will be dedicated on Friday thanks to two major gifts to the campaign. The gymnasium will be named for William “Pete” Gallagher. The Gallagher family is a long-time supporter of the Catholic Schools. The second naming will be the Concetta A. Mirabito and Thomas J. Mirabito, Sr. Student Learning and Activity Center. John and Cheryl Mirabito have been strong supporters of the campaign, along with several members of the Mirabito family.
The Catholic Schools of Broome County are faith centered schools whose mission is to develop students who are academically successful, spiritually mature, and responsible to self and others.
